Wiels offers 9 individual studios (about 45m2 each) for 6 months to Belgian or Belgium-based artists, and for 1 year for international artists  The residents are accompanied by a program of meetings with art professionals, academicians and the local public.

The residents are accompanied by a program of weekly meetings with professional artists, along with field trips (i.e. Brussels, Cologne/Düsseldorf, London, Rotterdam/Amsterdam or Paris) and meetings with the public. In addition to developping their own projects, the residents can participate in the core activities of Wiels (exhibitions, researches, meetings, educational programs and socio-cultural exchanges). This integration in the program of Wiels allows them to fully participate in the artistic and cultural life of Brussels and to establish privileged and durable links with other artists and cultural actors.

As the European capital and a multicultural, multilingual city Brussels is the ideal place to welcome emerging artists. Numerous universities, renowned art schools and a vibrant and diversified cultural scene, as well as a unique geographic location make Brussels a special city for artists.
