Lapis Lazuli: artE is looking for emerging artists from all over the world to participate in an artist-in-residence program, followed by a group exhibition in Venice. The exhibition is scheduled to open alongside the international Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia in April 2024.

The selected artists are invited to immerse themselves in the distinctive essence of Venice and its abundant cultural legacy, to craft pieces that capture the city’s atmosphere while contemplating the ephemeral aspect of time – Venice observed through the lens of the creator’s own perspective. We welcome enquiries from a diverse range of applicants, representing various cultures and backgrounds from all over the world, celebrating life, humanity and equality on all levels.

The program will welcome five artists to live in Venice for a month in autumn 2023. They will enjoy complimentary lodging, access to a communal workspace, a fixed amount to spend on materials and a EUR 1,000 stipend to cover board and other essentials. Travel expenses to Venice will also be covered.
