Every year on average 23 artists for a full residency are selected, and most of the artists stay for two years. Roughly half of the group is from the Netherlands, the other half from all around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected artists usually have finished a BA\/MA education, and must have at least 2-3 years of independent professional practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Rijksakademie provides extensive technical facilities, a library, collections and a social practice workshop, a private studio, a stipend of \u20ac14,000 and a working budget of \u20ac2,500 per year. The residency can be one or two years long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Costs: An application fee of \u20ac50 is charged, with an exception for artists living in countries from the so-called DAC List. The participation fee for all resident artists is \u20ac1,875 each year, to be paid before the residency year starts.
