The residency will relate to the specific rural location and activities of the organisation. Thematically, it will be linked by exploring the topics of pastoralism and regenerative agricultural practices and sustainable education. A month-long residency will host an international artist\/researcher to explore the ecosystem of the local meadow and forest, and to take part in the on-going permaculture practice of the Woods \u2013 Community for Cultivation, Theory, and Art project. The residency stay will take place at the Woods site, an open space of the meadow and forest land between the villages of P\u00edse\u010dn\u00e1 and Hn\u00e1tnice in Orlick\u00e9 Mountains (Czechia) in April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The criteria for selecting the resident artist\/researcher is their interest in engaging in the collective development of a permaculture garden, orchard, or working with animals on the pasture. This connection between artistic practice and theory is one of the main missions of the Woods project, which it aims to cultivate further through the residency programme. We encourage artists\/researchers from Ukraine to apply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Artist\/researcher will receive a monthly stipend, and travel costs and accommodation will be covered. An additional budget will be provided for the production of events and presentations during the residency.
