The purpose of the fund is to support travel for research, project planning, and collaboration, building creative networks aimed at realising Japan-Europe arts and culture projects. Activities can be for projects European Capitals of Culture (past, present or future) as well as other cities that are members of Culture Next. Activities for Japan-Europe collaborative projects can also focus on the following areas: Youth Empowerment; Nature &amp; Green; Diversity (DEI); and Social Regeneration. Activities can be aimed at realising new Japan-Europe projects, which includes collaborations where participants from other regions (e.g., Asia, and others) join Japan-Europe projects.
