Sie studierte in Stuttgart bei Joseph Kosuth und Joan Jonas und nahm am Programme de recherche an der \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des beaux-arts in Paris teil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Susanne Kriemanns k\u00fcnstlerische Praxis ist durch einen erweiterten Fotografie-Begriff gekennzeichnet. Dabei wird das Aufzeichnen als fotografisches Prinzip innerhalb spezifischer sozialhistorischer Kontexte untersucht. Ihre Arbeitsmethoden reichen von der Recherche in Archiven \u00fcber Feldforschung bis hin zur Anwendung verschiedener fotografischer Aufnahme- und Druckverfahren. Neben einer Reihe von Publikationen \u00fcber ihre Arbeit sind seit 1998 siebzehn K\u00fcnstlerb\u00fccher entstanden.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Susanne Kriemanns Arbeit wurde international in renommierten Ausstellungsh\u00e4usern sowie im Rahmen verschiedener Biennalen und Festivals gezeigt. Dar\u00fcber hinaus nahm sie an zahlreichen Artist in Residence-Programmen teil und war bis 2017 Advisor bei der Van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht. Gemeinsam mit Aleksander Komarov gr\u00fcndete sie das Residenzprogramm AIR Berlin Alexanderplatz.
