Agnes M\u00fcller  (*1989) lives and works in Stuttgart. She studied art at the Hochschule der Bildenden K\u00fcnste Saar including a year abroad at the Bah\u00e7e\u015fehir University in Istanbul, as well as philosophy at Saarland University. In 2019\/20 she was a meistersch\u00fcler under Katharina Hinsberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The subjects of her work in the field of performance and video are mundane, simple actions \u2013 pedestrian movements \u2013 as well as repetitive and continuous sequences of activity. She stages these in a simplified manner by means of a clear, visual language far from one of dramaturgical suspense. M\u00fcller often incorporates the public into her works as pictorial elements, testing the image boundaries and their limits. An essential part of her practice is wandering around \u2013 strollology \u2013 as well as observing everyday phenomena, arrangements and dynamics of bodies in public space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agnes M\u00fcller has taken part in numerous artist residency programmes, including at the Field Institute Hombroich in Berlin and in Stuttgart. She received funding for her projects on a regular basis.
