He studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe under Meuser and G\u00fcnter Umberg and completed his apprenticeship as a meistersch\u00fcler in 2009. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His work, mostly constructed using simple &nbsp;building materials, lays somewhere between architecture&nbsp; and sculpture. In addition to large sculptures&nbsp; for interiors and indoor spaces,&nbsp; Karsten F\u00f6dinger\u2019s work is &nbsp;characterised in particular by sc&nbsp;ulptural interventions&nbsp; in public spaces. Their location and its historical and cultural context always play a major role the pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His works have been shown in numerous solo exhibitions, including at Kunstverein M\u00f6nchengladbach (2018), Antenna Space in Shanghai (2015) and Palais de Tokyo (2011). He was awarded the Baloise Art Prize, Art 43 Basel Statements sector in 2012.
