The Kunstb\u00fcro<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Since 2020 Kunstb\u00fcro Mentoring has been facilitating intensive and long-term 1:1 exchange between established art producers and artists that find themselves at the beginning of their careers. The eighteen month-long programme provides helpful support for artists with a connection to Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, especially in the years following their graduation from an art academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mentors of the 2026\/27<\/strong> year are Stefan Burger<\/strong> (Zurich), Hannah Cooke<\/strong> (Karlsruhe), Anna Gohmert <\/strong>(Stuttgart), Sophie von Hellermann <\/strong>(Karlsruhe\/London), Christian Kosmas Mayer<\/strong> (Vienna), Diana McCarty<\/strong> (Karlsruhe\/Berlin), Mukenge\/Schellhammer<\/strong> (Berlin\/Kinshasa), Anahita Razmi<\/strong> (London\/Berlin).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following eight artists were selected as mentees for the new 2026\/27 cohort:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program\u2019s open call takes place every two years\u2014next in February 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kunstb\u00fcro Mentoring program is realized with funding from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From artists, for artists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The goal of the programme is to share the know-how and experience of established art producers with a new generation. Mentees are encouraged not only in their development as artists, but in their professionalisation and positioning the art field. During the course of the Kunstb\u00fcro Mentoring they are provided with perspectives and approaches that are essential for setting up a business in the artistic field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Networking & the first steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The mentors monitor the first steps taken in professional careers, establish contacts and give skilled advice regarding the positioning of one\u2019s own work, on funding opportunities and applications as well as on building a professional environment. In this way, mentees at the outset of their artistic careers can benefit from the experiences of established artists in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mentees are also interconnected as a group within the programme. They regularly meet for visits to studios and exhibitions and exchange news regarding their artistic work and the current issues that affect them \u2013 such as grant applications, funding, studio situations, exhibitions, fair pay or care work available in the world of art.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
