Hypha_etc is calling for applications from Europe-based artists for a residency in Vármező / Câmpu Cetății, Transylvania, Romania, from 1 October – 10 November 2026. Night as Commons explores darkness as a shared ecological, cultural and political condition. The residency also offers interdisciplinary mentorship from experts in physics, biology and curatorial research, supporting both scientific grounding and artistic development.

Applicants must be legally based in one of the Creative Europe countries.

Support: Daily allowance (30 EUR/day), Travel allowance (400 EUR – 800 EUR), Green mobility top-up (400 EUR), Visa top-up (120 EUR/resident), Outermost regions, overseas countries and territories top-up (175 EUR/resident), Family top-up (200 EUR per child/resident), Accessibility support (if applicable; all facilities are step-free and accessible)
