The International Mute Photo Festival (IMPhF) 2027 is calling for submissions made on children’s thermal printer camera in the theme ‘Nature ate the pixels’. The exhibition will be held in Karlovasi, Samos, Greece, in July 2027. In an era dominated by digital mediation, IMPhF 2027 invites photographers to rekindle a silent dialogue between Humanity and Nature. The festival seeks images that capture a resilient coexistence, moments where human presence embeds within the landscape, or where nature triumphantly reclaims its space. The exclusive capturing medium for this open call is children’s thermal printer camera. The open call redefines an accessible toy into a powerful tool for contemporary artistic creation, embracing imperfection, organic forms, and low-resolution intimacy. Thematic categories are: Landscape, Symbiosis, Rebirth, Future

It is open to photographers of all levels (6–9 images), as well as children and youth under 18 years old (5 images). The jury will select the top 15 photographic series from the Adult Category and the top 5 photographic series from the Children & Youth Category.

For selected projects, the festival will fully cover all production and printing costs to produce enlarged prints of the submitted digital scans. The festival will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the artist who submits the most complete photographic series, enabling them to attend the exhibition opening.
