„The Cabin“ is an annual hosting programme in a unique cabin in nature at the Ein Yael Archaeological Site at the edge of Jerusalem, which is also host to an artist studio residency. It aims to deepen and enrich the conceptual and content corpus of the Ananeh Center, through dialogue with guests from different fields of knowledge. The program is intended for 8 guests per year (two per season) who, in exchange for a week of accommodation in the cabin residency, will submit a proposal for a small-scale event, that deal with ways of staying, listening, observing and connecting with a place, through different fields of knowledge. It can be a performance / conversation / tour / workshop / exhibition of an artistic product or work process, and will take place in the cabin itself as part of the „Cabin Events“ series – intimate and lively meeting events, open to the general public and based on the cabin’s infrastructure.
Artists, musicians, writers, researchers and thinkers are invited to submit proposals. From the submissions, 8 proposals will be selected.
The artist(s) will receive free accommodation for up to a week (6 nights) at the Anana Center cabin located at the Ein Yael archaeological site, curatorial and production support for the Anana team to set up the event, option for a symbolic production budget of up to 1000 NIS (~ € 220,-) for event expenses.
