The Bemis residency is a process-based experience–residents have the ability to research, experiment, and explore free from expectations. We are now accepting applications for the spring and summer sessions of our Artist-in-Residence Program. Dates: January 21–April 17, 2026; May 20–August 14, 2026; September 10–November 14, 2026. Alumnis can apply to an additional residency with a separate Deadline /7th April 2025



Bemis residency opportunities are open to national and international artists 21+ years of age showing a strong professional working history. A variety of disciplines are accepted including, but not limited to, visual arts, media/new genre, performance, architecture, film/video, literature, interdisciplinary arts, music composition, and choreography.

Bemis residents enjoy generously-sized, private live/work studios and have 24-hour access to extensive installation and production spaces. International artists-in-residence are eligible to receive reimbursement of qualified expenses, such as airfare, ground transportation, and meals. There is an application fee of 40 USD.
