Nuit Blanche Toronto is the city’s annual all-night celebration of contemporary art, produced by the City of Toronto in collaboration with Toronto’s arts community. Proposals for art projects are now being accepted. Submissions must respond to the 2024 theme „Bridging Distance“. This theme encourages artists to recalibrate and reconnect with Toronto, the world and each other in public spaces—exploring the multifaceted ways we experience, understand and bridge distance through contemporary art. Open Call Projects are selected by Nuit Blanche’s Artistic Director and curators in consultation with City of Toronto staff from submissions through an open call application. Artist-led proposals should respond to the theme of the event and will be added in one of the exhibition areas. This year, up to six projects may be selected.
International and Canadian artists are invited to apply. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. EST, Sunday January 21, 2024 (Anm. d. Red.: Montag, 22. Januar 2024, 5:59 Uhr MEZ)
These projects are funded and produced by the City of Toronto with a budget of up to $15,000.00 CAD (Anm. d. Red.: ca. 10.050,00 Euro).
