Since 2017, Copenhagen Light Festival has brought light and life to one of the darkest and coldest months of the year. Each February, the festival invites visitors to explore Copenhagen in new ways; on foot, by bike, by public transport or by canal boat, through a curated program of temporary light works across the city and its suburbs. The festival welcomes proposals that unfold light as a versatile medium, relate to Copenhagen’s harbour and canals, invite the audience with immersive and/or responsive elements , consider their environmental footprint in the choice of materials, energy consumption, etc.
Artists and professional from all backgrounds can apply with new or existing works.
