The Fondation Fiminco is launching an open call for visual artists of all disciplines for an 11-month research, creation and production residency based in Romainville (Seine-Saint-Denis) within greater Paris starting in September 2023. The residency is a place of professionalization that helps artists gain visibility on the French art scene and become part of a network. It will end with a group exhibition in June 2024.

The programme is open to artists, duos and collectives living in France and abroad, with no age limit, who can demonstrate an emerging or established professional career. It requires a daily and continuous presence and on-site accommodation for the artists for the duration of the residency.

The residency includes:
a furnished studio with a private bathroom, a shared kitchen, and common living areas
a workspace in spacious collective studios and access to well-equipped technical workshops (engraving, silk-screening, ceramics, 3D printing, construction, photo and video)
a production grant of up to 6,000 euros for the entire duration of the residency
administrative support such as visa applications and guide in search for additional grants
a round trip to and from the artist’s country of origin
an annual pass for public transport in the Ile-de-France region
French language courses available to international artists to facilitate their integration and exchanges
