Culture Helps Solidarity supports arts and culture professionals from Ukraine to sustain creativity, resilience, and community connection during and after the war. Running until 2028, the programme combines three grant schemes – individual grants, thematic project grants, and collaboration grants – with a programme of mentoring, learning, and peer exchange. The second call for Projects Grants of Culture Helps Solidarity focuses on memory and commemoration projects that work responsibly with the lived experiences of people affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine. There are two types of grants: collaboration grants and project grants: a project grant and a collaboration grant. The project timeline may be up to 6 months (project grant) or 12 months (collaboration grant).

The Project grant is open to cultural workers, artists, researchers, community organisers, memory practitioners, and civil society initiatives based in Ukraine and across Europe. The collaboration grant prioritises cross-border partnerships between at least one Ukrainian-led organisation (operating in Ukraine or in exile) and at least one organisation based in a Creative Europe country.

Project Grant amount: up to 7,000 EUR for a large variety of costs including travel. Collaboration Grants: up to 20,000 EUR for partnerships of two organisations, and up to 30,000 EUR for partnerships involving three or more partners.
