Interlude Residency is intended for artists who are primary caregivers in any capacity to children under 18. Residents are expected to live and work on site during their session, but we recognize that sometimes life intervenes. Sessions are typically 3 weeks in length.
Artists are free to bring their families or to come alone. Each family has their own bedrooms and bathrooms within the house. There is a shared den/library, dining room with an upright piano, a large eat-in kitchen, and a screened-in porch. The studio spaces are separate from the house so artists will have the focus they need.
We welcome applications from all visual artists, including performance, video, and audio artwork. If your work is shown in an art context, we encourage you to apply.
Residents receive a stipend to defray the costs of travel, childcare, and materials.
