With its triangular architecture sustained by an Advanced School, a Creative Lab and an Observatory of eCulture ReACH aspires to be one point in the net required by humanity to fulfill a stimulating future with the support of the artificial intelligence.

Where: at the High-Performance Computing Center HLRS University of Stuttgart, directed by Prof. Dr. Michael Resch and the Media Solution Center MSC, directed by Matthias Hauser.

Duration: as long as it takes.

MSC has structured its Reach project whose aim is to merge the Humanities — with special seats for the Arts, the Cultural Rights, Ethics and the Economy of the Internet — and the hard sciences in a process of throwing light on eCulture’s mechanism and alternatives. Much has been said about interdisciplinarity in the Academy since the mid-20th century. Now it is not a question of opting for interdisciplinarity anymore: it is a must, a sheer issue of necessity and urgency. Crisis like this are not solved by a single initiative — and not in a couple of years: it would be a display of hubris to pretend otherwise.
