Field Projects (NYC) and In Situ Polyculture Commons (Southern Vermont) jointly offer the 2026 Solo Show & Residency Fellowship. This opportunity combines a 2–3 week summer residency in Southern Vermont with a solo exhibition at Field Projects Gallery in New York City in fall 2026. The program supports artists in developing new or ongoing work that addresses contemporary social and political themes, encouraging projects that make a strong statement about our times through visual, performative, or interdisciplinary practices.
The fellowship is open to individual artists and collaborative groups of up to four people, from any country and working across all media. Ideal candidates may be artists whose opportunities have been limited by political or social marginalization, or those whose projects would benefit from time in retreat and focused preparation for exhibition. Parents and collaborators are welcome at the residency; accommodations can host small teams and families, though childcare is not provided.
The fellowship includes a $1,500 stipend, a fully supported 2–3 week residency with studio space and accommodation at In Situ Polyculture Commons, and a solo exhibition with installation support at Field Projects Gallery. Travel expenses are the artist’s responsibility. Residency sessions are available in June, July, or August 2026, with the exhibition scheduled for September 2026.
