O Castro Art Village is an abandoned rural settlement in the Ribeira Sacra, Galicia. The organisation is inviting applications from sound artists or musicians, architects and visual/mixed-media artists to participate in a 30-day residency in October 2026. Sound artists are asked to produce an installation in the space, which remains after the artists’ departure. Visual Artistst are asked to develop a permanent visual installation integrated into the ruins of the village. Artists will be mentored by filmmaker Davoud Gerami, and live in a climate-controlled geodesic dome inside the forest.

Eligibility: Legal resident of a European country other than Spain. 

Support: Travel allowance 400 EUR (800 EUR over 5,000 km), daily allowance 30 EUR/day, accommodation on site, mentorship.
