Onsite brings together 10 creators, artists, thinkers, and interdisciplinary practitioners from different countries who apply with an idea for a site-specific project or an action proposal to offer to the human and non-human inhabitants of the city neighbourhood and forest of Grunewald in Berlin-Dahlem.
Onsite will have moments of collective processes where participants can exchange and work on their artistic projects in relation to the group’s most urgent shared questions; and individual work periods. During this year’s residency local artists from the neighbouring LebensWerkGemeinschaft will join the program and share their perspectives on creative processes in dialogue with nature. The results of the works and experimentations will be presented during the Onsite Festival from 2 – 3 September 2023 at the Brücke Museum’s „Waldraum“ (forest room) and garden area.
We encourage creators and thinkers of all disciplines and fields of work to apply with a proposal for a site-specific investigation or intervention in Berlin-Steglitz. This includes, among others, performing and visual artists, sound artists, filmmakers, academic and practical researchers, social practitioners, storytellers and fabulators. The call is especially aimed at people who identify as migrant, queer, non-binary or BIPoC.
We can provide a financial support / artistic fee of 500€ per artist to help with production and basic living costs during the residency period (19 August – 1 September) and festival (2 – 3 September).
