SAM Residencies welcomes applications for Cycle 4 of Residencies. Slated to run from June 2027 to December 2028, Cycle 4 is organised around three strands: Listening/Attuning, Making/Material Cultures and Beyond Human/Interdependence. There are three types of Residencies: Artist Residency: Open to artists and collectives pursuing new artistic research, experimentation and modes of making; Community & Education Residency: Open to practitioners working at the intersection of artistic practice, education, and community engagement; Curatorial & Research residency: Open to curators and researchers working towards new approaches to exhibition making, and curatorial practice and research methodologies. International applicants may apply for residencies of one to three months, while Singapore-based applicants may apply for up to six months. Residents will pursue independent research and are open to engage with communities and the public in Singapore as part of their process. They are also encouraged to share works in progress or research outcomes through open studios, screenings, workshops, talks, and other experimental public formats.

SAM Residencies is open for international applications from individuals, duos and collectives from all mediums and disciplines. 

SAM Residencies will support Residents with: 1 x return airfare on economy class; monthly stipend of SGD$1,500; housing allowance for foreign residents, a studio or co-working space.
