The S+T+ARTS EC(H)O Residency Programme offers selected artists the opportunity to participate in a 13-month residency starting from December 2024. They are hosted by different institutions in Germany, Austria and France, to work on human-centered and sustainable projects. Ten challenges are presented, covering various innovational areas and themes such as exploring AI relationships, European space policy, virtual representations, and cultural heritage.

Eligible applicants include individual artists or collectives engaged in artistic activities professionally. We encourage artists being in the process of obtaining their PhD to submit a proposal related to their research topic.

The funding is up to €40,000 per challenge and includes guidance, access to experts, a kick-off meeting, an incubation program, and an impact assessment.
