The Mannheim based art space zeitraumexit is always in search of new artistic perspectives, with a focus on performing arts. The cross genre festival WUNDER DER PRÄRIE will take place from September 25th until October 5th in different venues across Mannheim. Under the title theaters of war(s) the festival deals artistically and theoretically with historical as well as current wars and their socio-political impact.

We are looking for an artist or a small collective with a maximum of three persons, that deals with individual aspects of political or political-religious conflicts on the African, South American or Asian continent. A close connection between the artist(s) and the respective region is welcomed. The artistic work should be based in the fields of performing arts, dance, theater, intervention, happening or live art. (We are also open to well-founded exceptions.)

The festival will cover the following costs: four-days stay + ½ day of arrival + ½ day of departure, travel expenses (within Europe: Deutsche Bahn / German Railway, 2nd class / outside Europe: flight, economy class). Per Diem 170.- € per person / day 370.- € per person for the presentation up to 400.- € material, technology and consumption costs (gross and less any applicable taxes, duties or customs duties etc.) The information is non-binding and serves as a guideline only. Depending on the type of work, travel expenses and number of participants, some of these numbers may be adapted.
