Antonia Low

Antonia Low (*1972) lives and works in Berlin and Stuttgart. She studied visual communications at the Münster School of Design and simultaneously, fine arts under Ulrich Erben at the University of Fine Arts Münster. She completed a Master of Fine Arts at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
The stimulation of realistic spaces and rehearsed perceptions through installations and processual interventions is the direction her sculptural, conceptual and artistically explorative practice takes. Reflections, poetic experiences and the concurrence of diverse realities emerges alongside axes of vision, visual superimpositions, excavation and displacements.
Low’s installations and interventions have been shown in renowned galleries including the K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, the Palazzo Altemps National Roman Museum, the Bonn Museum of Modern Art, the Kunstverein Braunschweig and the ISCP New York.
She has received numerous awards, scholarships and has also participated in international residency programmes.
She has been professor of interdisciplinary projects at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts in since 2019.
