Kalin Lindena
Kalin Lindena (*1977) lives and works in Berlin and Karlsruhe. She studied at the Braunschweig University of Art under Hartmut Neumann, Johannes Brus and Walter Dahn.
Kalin Lindena works with painting, installation and performative elements, photography and video. She assembles her sculptures and wall artwork from found objects and self-designed elements. The artist always transforms her exhibition space into stage or film-like settings; her “extras”, figurine-like sculptures on wheels, convey the possibility of movement and dance. The foundation of her works are often note fragments from pieces of music, which she then integrates into her pieces.
She has been awarded numerous prizes and awards and has taken part in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. Kalin Lindena has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe since 2014.
