Laura Vanessa Galeano Ochoa (*1992, Bogotá, Kolumbien) lives and works in Stuttgart. She studied performance art at the ASAB in Bogotá and completed the MFA programme Body, Theory and Poetics of the Performative at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts.
Her works focus on exploring the possible relationships that are created between artist and observer when they are face to face without any other spectators watching. Her artistic practice is comprised of these two positions. In works such as Mantrailing (2019), Reflection (2019), Private (2020) and Duet (2021), Galeano Ochoa explores the everyday, intimate, personal, private and individual as factors that make up the collective body.
Together with other artists in Stuttgart, she founded La Fuchsia Kollektiva e.V in 2019.
