Lennart Cleemann Lennart Cleemann (*1990) lives and works in Stuttgart. He studied architecture in Hannover, Aarhus, Basel, and Stuttgart. He took part in Reto Boller’s art class at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts, which ultimately led him to find his artistic style.
He is currently a stipendiary at the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart and explores ideas and concepts from “home”. His work combines space and materials. Through the construction and abstraction of rooms, furniture and playing equipment, he explores his environment and tries to gain an understanding of its processes. His studio is a place of necessity. It becomes the physical stage for the inner self, absorbing moods, dust and sweat. Observing the day-to-day changes of this intimate space is an exploration of the self.
