Rosa Violetta Zettl Rosa Violetta Zettl (*1989) lives and works in Heidelberg. She studied visual arts as a meisterschüler under Johannes Spehr at the Kunsthochschule Kassel until 2018 as well as sculpture and installation at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn, Estonia, and art history and aesthetics at the University of Kassel.
The study of biological and social connections stands as the basis for Rosa Violetta Zettl’s installations, drawings and well-balanced assemblages. Found objects are combined together with handcrafted sculptures made of ceramics or plastics to form a fine collection. The syntactic creations evolve to become fragile installations that encompass hierarchical structures, archives and symbioses.
Her works have been displayed internationally in numerous group and solo exhibitions, including those at the Neuer Wuppertaler Kunstverein, Heidelberger Kunstverein, Estonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Tallinn, Warte für Kunst, Kassel, Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin, L40, Berlin and Kreuzberg Pavillon, Berlin. In addition to other accomplishment, she was awarded with a scholarship from the Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn and won first place at the Young Sculptor Award in Tallinn.
